FCC’s New Cybercrime Initiatives

Lee Bond

Personal servers and networks are a luxury for small businesses… Sure, they’re wonderful to have, but they’re also prohibitively expensive. IceWarp, with its newest server release, is trying to change all that.

Essentially, they are a host server with all the benefits of a private server. Their new server, called Unified Communications, offers the 5 pillars they claim are essential – communications, security, collaboration, mobility and data access – but without the huge price tag.

Take a look at their website to see if your business could benefit from this new release at www.icewarp.com.

Also, are you frightened about cybercriminals targeting your business’s confidential, valuable information? You probably should be – you’ve undoubtedly heard a few horror stories, but Uncle Sam is trying to help you and your business out!

The FCC is partnering with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and companies such as Symantec Corp. to educate small businesses about methods to combat cybercrime.

The FCC plans to dedicate a section of its website to cybersecurity issues that affect small businesses, and release a tip sheet that will be distributed by the Chamber of Commerce, Symantec, Intel Corp.’s McAfee cybersecurity unit and a few other groups.
